What is the influence of the hemodynamic performance to the patient's longevity and long outcomes? Is it an important factor, which plays a great role by choosing the valve?

Honestly, I think your asking a question that there have been no studies done on. I'm sure it's minimal and possibly insignificant. Lets see if anyone knows.

Everything that has an impact on the body's balance will affect longevity. I don't know if you can single out just hemodynamics and say that good ones or bad ones by themselves will lengthen or shorten your life.

I can tell you that Joe had a very old mechanical valve (29 years old) which was hemodynamically poor by today's standards. He had hemolytic anemia for many, many years. He was under the care of a hematologist for those many years, and he was treated for the anemia.

Did this have an impact on his health, sure it did.

Are the newer mechanical valves better hemodynamically, sure they are!

The anemia caused by the older valve was only one factor in his health. Many other things were so much more important.

It is only one of so many things to consider. Everything has to be evaluated in toto.

what is henodynamics actually?
