Chicago Northwest suburbs - snow! On April 11, we have SNOW!

I finally uncovered my flower beds yesterday. Didn't have a yard waste back to put all the leaves and mulch in. So now it's sitting out there getting all gross and soggy with snow.

Have not gotten around to my yardwork yet. Though.....I decided not to touch toxic yard chemicals this season. Scotts came by yesterday to fertilize. They said to water in. Guess the snow will suffice

Your pictures look gorgous, we have only had snow once in 4 years, in fleetwood and it didn't stick. somthing to do with the sea air, i think. At the moment we have had nothing but sunshine in the uk.

Traffic to work today ... simply awful. I think a few people FORGOT how to drive in this white stuff.

Heh ... a few weeks ago, I was KICKING myself for NOT getting my older 4 MCs out for the year ... NOW, I am so glad I did NOT do that yet ... he he.

Sadly, Dad called today to say that he and Mom were in an auto accident in the St Louis area today (they are down there celebrating their anniversary). They are fine ... but, it seems the car they drove down there is totaled. They'll find out more tomorrow. I didn't have the heart to tell him about the snow up here ... he he.

Sorry about your lousy weather in Chicago. We've had some rain and thunderstorms lately is all (oh, and some cold nights...frost). We didn't get much more snow than that in the "real" winter. Like the pics...brrr.

Well, after the tornado about a month ago, we've all gotten gun shy here. The alarms went off last night around 8:30 PM. Radar showed movement in clouds about 7 miles North of my house moving to the East. Never did hear about anything touching down. They did have golf ball size hail where the storm crossed. A town in Alabama had grapefruit size hail. OUCH!!!! Not a drop of rain at my house.

No snow. I've seen more than my share living in Alaska and the DC area. Y'all just keep it "up there"!!!!

Another summer to look forward to.

You call that snow? I had to leave for the airport early this morning. There was no snow when we went to sleep. This morning was another trip down the mountain on my ATV. Barb's school was cancelled, but I got to the airport OK. At the lower altitude, there was rain, no snow.

We are sitting here tonight..in Ga. waiting for severe storms to roll thru..on up the Eastern coast. New York, ect. buckle down for rain/snow tomorrow/ bonnie

We're going to have snow off and on for the next few days, maybe 4" total. Still have a large pile of frozen snow where the plow pushed it. It has been cold, not the kind of cold that it is when it's winter, but biting, damp cold that goes right to your bones.

This has been crazy weather, for sure.

April 14th weather

Here in south Texas we are having unbelievably chilly weather. Today we had a cold wind. I can't say I mind it. It is a relief from what is coming. I have never seen weather like this this late. If this is global warming, bring it on!.
