Does anyone have a recommendation for a good cardiologist in the Denver, Colorado area?

Thanks,

Katie,

I don't know who you've been using in the Denver area. I live in a mountain community 90 miles from Denver and speciality medical services aren't very good up here either.

Since I've been avoiding doctors in general for over twenty-five years after a bad experience with a Denver cardiologist I don't have a long term relationship with my current cardio doc. I've been seeing Dr. Barry Smith. He's with Denver Cardiology Associates. So far our relationship has been positive. My wife likes him and she's a better judge of people than I am.

If you'd like a phone number drop me an e-mail.

and saw a cardiologist there regularly. I emailed him and this is his answer...

I did really like Dr Susan Polizzi. She's at the Aurora Medical Center and their number is (303) 750-0822.

Aurora is a long way from other parts of the Denver area, though, so she might not want to go that far. I did meet her downtown at St Luke's, I think. I think she's there once or twice a week --

Hope this is helpful. Cindy

Thanks for your replies, I will look both of them up. I actually like going to the Aurora area better than downtown Denver so that's still an option. I would rather go to a cardiologist that someone has had good luck with than pick a name out of the book like I did last time!

Hi Katie,

I think a lot of cardio docs in the Denver work offices in different locations. Mine has an office near Porter Hospital (DU area) and another in Parker just south of Denver. The doc that was mentioned in the other posting may work in multiple locations as well. Good luck!

-Philip
