Hi Gang,

I'm at home, recovering from gallbladder surgery that I had yesterday. Not too much fun...but a little better than OHS. It was same-day surgery and was done laprascopically which means I now have 4 more small scars to add to my scar collection, yippee!!

Anyway, I want you all to welcome my buddy from church, Jackie (The Art Den Lady). She has known for some time now that she would eventually need a valve replacement, but is now tentatively scheduled for Feb 15th, so she just joined us here on the forum. She only has one post so far under the "what to bring to the hospital" thread under the Pre-surgery forum.

She called me earlier and had lots of questions, and said she'd been perusing the boards for info the last couple of days, looking for info and advice.

Jackie's a real sweetheart, so let's give her a warm VR.com welcome, okay? Thanks! WELCOME JACKIE!!!

Oh so your responsible for this huh? Heck, you didn't even warn her about me. :D

Welcome aboard Jackie! :)

Welcome, Jackie- hope you find all the information and support you need. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Jean,

Sorry about your gallbladder surgery. I know how that goes ... had that done to me December 2005, right after Gramps died.

And, of course, WELCOME JACKIE! Good to have you with us.

Welcome aboard Jackie! :)

I'll fill her in about you in person at church tomorrow. That is, if I feel well enough to go. So far I've only worn sweatpants or a robe since the surgery, and I'm not sure either one is appropriate for church...so that may be another problem.

I don't know how much I want to tell her about you though...I wouldn't want to scare her away completely!

Hope Your Feeling Better Jean....

Well everyone should get to know me in their own time anyhow. Who knows, maybe we'll hook up in the future. hehe

Welcome Jackie! We're here to help you through a difficult time that we have already traveled. don't be afraid to ask questions (and don't be afraid of Ross).

Hi Jackie,
I'm glad you've joined us.
Valve replacement might not be the best way to make new acquaintances, but it is guaranteed to forge a bond with others who have experienced it.:)

Oh Jackieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Oh Jackieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Jackie hadn't found this thread yet, but I told her about it at church tonight. I see she is online now, so I thought I'd bring this thread to the top so she might see it. Good Job on "Walkin' After Mindight" tonight:D

Hi everyone,

This is such a great website. I've posted in Heart Talk for ?? about my BAV. I'm the type of person who likes to be informed and there's no better place than other people who have been through it.

Jeanne, I did my first (and last) Karoke tonight. It was a blast! Walking after Midnight never sounded so bad . . . from me, that is. It was fun though.
