Applying for Amazing Race

My wife and I going to apply for The Amazing Race. I am hoping all goes well, we are actually going to an open call so it is easier that way. I am praying that we will get picked and that I am able to do it. It will not be easy for me, but I have no more restrictions, unless CBS doesn't want to deal with someone on blood thinner and all that stuff. But will we see and I will let it in God's hand.

Best of luck to you & your wife Mike. That sounds like a lot of fun, and a real challenge. I'm sure you've been training for something that...but even though I've been being good about going to my gym I can't *imagine* doing some of the stuff they have to do on that show. But if you two make it, you'll have a large VR.com audience watching!!!!!

My husband and I love watching that show! It is great to see so many of the places around the world that you only read about up close and personal. I could never do some of the "tasks" that you need to do to do to stay in the competition. I wish you and your wife lots of luck. As others have said, it would be great for VR.com to be represented on TV.

The "Amazing" refers to many things besides the various locations. It also refers to the challenges that exist with the competitors. I agree with the others, your heart history might be a story line the show would want to publicize.

I didnt want to use my "heart" story as an edge but I dont think anybody that was ever on there every had a heart valve replacement. We will see, it would definitely be challenging for me, but all worth. We are not doing it for the money at all, its more for the experience of a life-time. I am just going to keep praying about it. I appreciate all your comments.

So yesterday my wife and I did it, we waited 6 hours for a less than 2 minute interview, and let me tell you it was scary when we were finally on camera, but hopefully we were good enough to make it, I did mention about having a mechanical heart valve as much as I could, so I am hoping and praying.

I hope you hear soon and that you make it, more power to you, I have a fear o hights, but if my back was better think I could get passed the hight fears, but pretty sure noway would i be able to eat some of thise things, I gag sitting in my room watching others eat it lol
This would be sooo cool.
I'm curious how long does the race actually last?it's so hard to tell the way it is shown oh and then you can answer my question of they run around w/ one pack but have tons of clothes for every climate, I always wonderred if new clothes show up at each pit stop, and yesss I really need a life and to learn how to sleep if I wonder about these things lol

The Amazing Race is my all time favorite show! I loved the hippies~! It would be great to have you represent all of us with a mechanical heart valve and it would give real hope to those looking toward climbing the mountain. No pun intended! I will include you in my prayers! I would love for you to have this experience!

The semi-finalist round is feb-mar, and then finalist is in April. So I am guessing within the next mounth or so I would find out if I make it to the semi's. The actual race last 30-40 days, and starts in Jul-Aug. I am hoping and praying everyday that I can make it, cause this will be a great experience.
