Good Morning All,
This is Farid. I?m back, and I thank God for that.
It has been difficult couple of weeks on me and my family. The family and specially by wonderful wife Eriny have been always there for my? my love and gratitude?s ?

I want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support. I hope that those who also had their operation during the last two weeks are doing well. My prayers are with them.

Thank God no complications. As Samy stated before, my INR reading was so ?critically? high. But as of yesterday it dropped from 13.5 to 5. I'm not taking anything now, but I go back on Wafren (sp?) on Sunday night at 2.5mg, and blood test on Monday. Those guys are actually drawing blood from me  to send to the lab. I?ll also see my cord on Mon. Apparently he became acquaintance w/my surgeon at Col. NYC.
I go back to NYC on the 22nd for a follow up w/my surgeon.
We?ll talk soon.

Samy, thank you for keeping the VR.com troops up to date on my situation.

Farid,

Glad to here you are doing so well. I know it will continue. My INR was a bit wacko that soon out of surgery too. I'm sure it will settle down soon.

Keep up the good work!

Tom

Glad to hear you're back, Farid.
However, although I'm not on coumadin, from what I've read around here, I question your not taking another dose until Sunday night. I would be afraid of your INR dropping too low. Maybe I'm terribly confused, but I wish you would post it over in the anticoagulation forum to see what regular readers think.
Best wishes on a continued good recovery.:)

Mary,
You beat me to it - you are absolutely correct to be concerned.

Farid,
Welcome home. I agree with Mary, since your INR was 5.0 yesterday, you are still dropping. I do not want to tell you what to do since you have had problems. However, do not be surprised if your INR is below range when you next test.

Based on my experiences, I would take a small dose today and continue from there. The last thing you want to do is start the yo-yo effect from questionable dosing.

Farid,
Welcome back. I glad your trip over the mountain was a good one and I'm sure once you get the medications regulated, you'll do even better. That's one thing I didn't have to worry about, but listen to these people here, they impress me with their knowledge.
Mel
