This video was sent to me by a friend whose son recently returned from Iraq. Dare I say that our freedoms to live as we please in this country and to eat all the pumpkin pie and turkey that we want on Thanksgiving in PEACE ---we owe to God and to the men and women of the Armed Services who have protected our country since its founding. Where would we be without them. Freedom is NOT free. I want to be the first here on this thread to thank all these brave souls for their service.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! (You may have to cut and paste this link into your browser)

Thank you for sharing a very poignant video.

And my heartfelt thanks and prayers to all those who serve in harm's way and the families that wait....

God Bless them all!

Thanks for posting this beautiful video, Christina and thanks and prayers to all our men in harm's way and their brave families that wait for their return.

Okay I am sitting here alone in my office crying. I will pass this on to everyone in my building. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Thanksgiving...

Happy Thanksgiving...

Happy and a blessed Thanksgiving to the wonderful friends on this forum.
Our SIL will be home on leave for Thanksgiving so that makes it even more special. January 2nd he will leave for Afghanistan and will be separated from his family for maybe up to 18 months. Please keep him and his AZ. Nat. guard unit (450 brave men & women) in your prayers. They are all terrific human beings who are proud to serve this country.

I received the following from a good friend. Hope you won't have to stuff your turkey with Prozac.

I think I may have to do that this year. My son has a new girlfriend with 4 kids and they are not well behaved. He is bringing them for Thanksgiving. I told my husband I didn't know how I was going to cope. Theres a whole lot of other drama going on this year, too. My husband suggested maybe I needed a few extra glasses of wine with dinner. I like the Prozac idea better.

I realized after I put this

I realized after I put this

thread on Vr.com that I said Happy Thanksgiving to ALL and a lot of you are not from the United States. So, Happy Thanksgiving to those of us who live here in the US. I know there is a lot of animosity throughout the world towards the US right now, but this is my country - I am proud of it, as all of you from other areas in the world are proud of your countries. I think it is so neat to be able to converse here with people from other parts of the world - we are really all alike in so many ways and love is the common denominator.

Anyway - just wanted to clarify!!

While this thread is up, I will say HAPPY THANKSGIVING now. I will be skipping very soon for a week or so and might not get in when I feel like it. Spending Thanksgiving in the FAR NORTH (Sharpsburg, Ga).

Ann, enjoy your visit in Sharpsburg. I am next door in Senoia. The weather is suppose to be nice the next week. Maybe a little cold but thats Georgia in November.
