All my new friends,
It's after 2 a.m. and I can't sleep yet  so I thought I would just let all of you know that I will be heading up to Atlanta in the morning for my surgery on Monday. My husband & I figured we would go up a day early as I do my Pre-Op first thing Friday morning. :)eek: Atlanta traffic sucks!) And then we will enjoy the weekend with my 2 sons & my younger Sis from Florida. :D

I want to say Thank You so very much for all of your support, your advice and your knowledge during the past few weeks. It has helped me a great deal to know that I am not alone and that there is life after OHS. You have all taught me so many things and eased my mind about what I'm going to go through. I was TERRIFIED at first, now I'm just plain scared but at least it's nothing like it was before I found you wonderful people!!

I have talked to Cooker and my darling hubby will call him afterwards so that he can post for me. I hope by the time that I feel up to logging back onto this site that everyones woes will be better. I will truly miss all of you & keep you in my thoughts & prayers.

Sandy, I will be thinking of you when Monday comes! Good luck to you!

God Bless all of you great people! See ya on the other side of this mountain.......I'm off to la la land before I put my hiking boots on!! ;)

We're ALL pulling for you Sheila ! :) :) :)

And we're glad that you are able to go into your surgery with such a positive outlook. You wouldn't be normal if you weren't scared, but knowing that there is LIFE after surgery helps us to face the 'mountain'. Some even report a sense of PEACE and ACCEPTANCE as they go into surgery.

PEACE be with you.

We look forward to the news of your successful surgery.

Sheila,
I think everyone else has covered pretty much covered what I was going to say, so I'll just add, "God Bless and Godspeed."

I hope your Emory experience is as good as mine and that your nurses treat you as well as they did me!

All the very best and only the best to you, Sheila. You will be on my mind on Monday and until we get the good word.

Sheila,

I didn't realize you were headed in so fast. I'm so glad you are though, so you can get all this behind you, and get a new jump start on a long and healthy life ahead of you. You will most certainly be in my thoughts and prayers all day on Monday. You'll probably be a little more "uncomfortable" than I am, since they have more rebuilding to do, but you have youth on your side and that seems to make such a difference.

Gentle hugs to you, sweetie, and we'll be anxiously awaiting your happy news!
