Jay F, another VR.com member and an amazing drummer (check his stuff out at http://jfli.com ), and I have decided to start a rock-n-roll band made up of VR members. We'll play on the next cruise, or whatever. He's on skins, I'm on keys (at least I'll try to bang something out), and we need a bass, one or two guitars, vocalists, and any miscellaneous other rockers who can contribute to the sound.

MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! We need a NAME! And that's the most fun part.

My first thought was "The Replacements" but I realized that wasn't fair to "The Repairs" or "The Ross Group" so I think I still need to work on it.;) :D
 
OH!! Please can I be a singer???? My life-long fantasy!! (and Karlynn will have a wonderful voice, I know it....so she can drown out any of my squeaks). I have credentials...I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, Nellie Forbush in South Pacific (I'm as corny as Kansas in August).....:D

Justin plays Bass and Matt jeanne's son plays guitar so your set actually the bass player for Greenday sent Justin a bass before his last surgery, since he has been going to their shows since he was 6 :eek:) Lyn

Believe it or not, ?The Replacements? has already been used. The Replacements were formed in 1979 as a garage punk band. They were originally the Impediments, but changed their name when they were banned from a local club for disorderly conduct. I know, more info than you wanted to know but GOOGLE ROCKS!!!!!

I used to play the Tuba :confused: Can I join? lol. Great suggestions, I like Danny's Play til you bleed, that's funny. Can't wait to hear and see what you guys come up with.
 
I wonder how the tuba will sound with a rendition of Janis' "take another little piece of my heart now baby......" Just caught it on the radio and realized that I have that scream down!!

And, that I have a new theme song! :D

I've got to vote for "Stretch and the Survivors" that Danny came up with. Just sounds like a band name. Sounds like fun whatever you're called.

I respectfully veto this. It can't be focused on any one band member.

I was thinking of, simply, "Murmur", but I think it's not good because it's also the name of REM's first album.

Oh, ya... did I mention that we're still accepting applications for groupies?

Don't want all you ladies to try to get in the door all at once, y'know...
