Today is my anniversary! YAY! ;) :D I'm happy to say that I'm doing pretty well, as far as my heart is concerned. There is still some minor soreness in the sternum. Nothing like it was before, however. I'm just so glad to have it all behind me now. I just wish I was better able to get out & do some of the things I enjoyed before the muscular dystrophy caught up with me. Oh, well, at least I'm around for my family. The surgery will hopefully allow me to continue to do just that! :) I know I haven't posted in awhile, but be assured I do still check in often. I just want to thank you all for the support you gave me when I really needed it! I'll try not to be such a stranger.

Congratulations George! I'm so glad to hear you're doing well! My one year is in a couple of days and I wondering how you were. Thanks for the update! Kate

Good to hear from you, George. Congratualtions and so very happy to hear all is going well. Hope you are still able to do some things you enjoy despite the MD and I am sure your family is happy to have you around.
Try not to be a stranger.

Congrats on your one year! Best wishes for lots more happy years to come!!!

Congratulations! Happy Big #1! I wish you many years of doing the things you love.

Congratulations George! Even though you still are fighting some giants it is still good to have one behind you. I'm sure the MD made your recovery more involved and I'm sure more appreciated. I do hope you stay around as you have so much to offer everyone else. I know your family is glad you are still here and a part of their lives. Sometimes I can still tear up watching my kids and grandkids knowing that without the valve replacement I most likely would have missed all of it. You know what I mean.

Congratulations, George. So glad to hear that things are going well. Enjoy the family!:)
