He will be there looking over your shoulder during vet school, and know that you and your sisters will be a huge support for your mom. Your family has certainly been through the wringer over the last year. I lost my dad at 56 as well, to Leukemia, back in 1979

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you and your sisters and mom band together during this tough time.

The Chinese say you have three years bad luck followed by seven years of good luck - it is so hard when it all comes at once. You and I must have been born under similar signs. . .both getting endocarditis at a young age, both losing a parent to heart/kidney issues when we were in college. . .both left with a cadre of sisters with whom to carry on. I've been there - it is rough. You have my sympathies.

So very, very sorry to hear about your dad. I lost both my parents years ago and I think about them often. Try to honor the love you have for your father by passing it on.

time. Your memories will console you as time goes by. I lost my
dad to a sudden heart attack many years ago. The passage of time
has helped to lessen the pain, but I shall always miss him.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine to a massive heart attack when he was 48 and I was 13 years old. Am 34 now. I hope you receive comfort from knowing that people here care. My prayers go out to you and your family for your loss. My best wishes to you.

You and your Mom and sisters have my deepest sympathy! I totally empathize with you. We lost my Dad quite unexpectedly 4 years ago due to 2 massive heart attacks within 10 days. He was in ICU and on life support and needless to say it was a heart-wrenching experience.for all of us. No matter how old you are it hurts to lose your Dad so I wish you well at this difficult time. I know it sounds like a cliche but time will help to lessen the pain you feel now but it will never lessen your wonderful love and memories of your Dad.
