Yikes! :eek: Sorry to hear the news. Best wishes to your doctor for a speedy recovery. Hopefully, there are other options for you so you don't have to wait another 10 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
 
I cant believe the news either! I hope this works out for you Deb - I believe too that things happen for a reason. You must be thinking of signs -- the dead car battery, the surgeons accident..... You are sure due for some good luck!

I have to ask -- was the accident due to the lousy winter weather -- I have really been hating this winter!

So sorry to hear of this. You were so ready. Keep hanging in there. The universe and Murphy's law owe you big time. When things get back on track, they are bound to go well for you. By odds, plan B, or schedule B should go well for you. But it is so crazy what happened. Take care and keep us updated. Jay
 
Zipper and I are on the same time.
It is now 8:30pm as I type - just another 2 1/2 hours to wait......maybe 3 hours.
Praying that there will be a good and positive answer to be had.

I'm going to echo others and say this MUST have happened for a reason. I will continue to pray (and kick it up a notch) that everything comes together just as it is meant to be.

As for the ativan, I'm glad it helps you! Just makes me hallucinate. Though at this point, you might prefer that! ;)

Ahhh, geezeesh Deb! I cannot believe your luck!

I'm sure you've heard the saying, "if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all"......hummmm......

But on the other hand, everything happens for a reason ...... so hang in there my friend & hopefully things will happen & you'll be able to have your surgery soon!

No news on this almost midnight my time and I have no answer why
the secretary still does have an hour to call me on her time,so i don't know.
anyhow my last post here for tonight un less i hear in next hour my time yet.

I turned down for today something to calm me down,and i should've,got something,cus all ive done is cry and i feel like crap,and dought i will be able to sleep.

feeling a tightness in my mech aortic valve likely from my blood thinning so much,as the secretary said to stay off the warfarin for sure and she'd call me back late tonite 11 or 12 midnight to instruct what the Doc suggests.:confused:

not much more to add so i will close and put additional news in as it
comes to us,thanks for all your replys and im so sorry this isn't working
out for me to give you any good news,if not in next hour i am assuming
i have to hear something it's the 3rd day off warfarin and my Family Doc
is very concerned i have to get the warfarin looked after by tomorrow to.
I don't know what else to say other than i know nothing more yet.:(

I just caught this,its after 1:00 am and I'm still up and awake,so I will
be sending you my prayers now. I'm so sorry you have to go thru all
this waiting and especially not knowing what is going on,that is the
worst part. When things like this happen I try to tell myself that "it"
happened for a reason...like you were not meant to have the surgery
at that particular time,I mean who knows the reasons(if there are)for
things. With some of the things I have been thru I almost have to believe
that there is a reason and a meaning for these rough times. Anyway,I
pray that things go well,sending you my best wishes,youwill be in my
thoughts,let us know whats up-Dina:)

BTW-I try not to tell people to take benzdiazepines,but your situation
is one of the reasons that this med was created,don't put yourself thru
H**l for no good reason. None of us here are puritans,least of all me;)

Unless you have received instructions from the Surgeon's secretary, MY *recommendation* is to call your PCP or Cardiologist FIRST THING Wednesday Morning to request an order for Lovenox Injections (and training in how to self administer the shots to your belly fat).

The *usual* protocol is to receive shots Twice a Day, 12 hours apart since Lovenox wears of (mostly) in 12 hours or so (and is definately worn off in 24 hours).
