I would like to ask you guys to pray for my brother in law. He had a heart attack in 2000. It had to be shocked back 3 times before he made it to the ER. I was at the hospital before he and my sister because I'm only 3 blocks away and my sister called me while she was waiting for the ambulance. After he was there for a little while he code blued again. The nurse came out and told us to start praying because he was in bad shape. That night after he was stabalized he was transported to a bigger hospital where they put a stent in. We knew he would need bipass. They had to wait a month because they wanted his heart to heal some. after he had his bipass he had another heart attack. They said it was because he was allergic to the heperin. They changed his meds and things seemed to be getting better. He went home and a couple of months later had another mild heart attack. They put a defib in and things were fine for a few months. In 2001 they were in Hawaii and he started feeling poorly again so they took him to a hospital in Honolulu. They ran some tests and told him he only had about 38% percent of his heart working. He's been in and out of the hospital. They talked about transplant but for some reason don't think it is necessary right now. Two weeks ago he was in the hospital from CHF. They raised his lasix to 160 mgs a day and added another duretic plus 3 more meds. He was up 22 pills a day. Well he is back in the hospital again. Thurs. his blood pressure bottomed out 60/40 and his heart rate jumped very high. He started to go into convulsions. They admitted him right away. Right now they are trying to get his meds straightened out. He is only 46 years old. I certainly would appreciate any prayers. Thanks alot Peggy

He is in my prayers, Peggy. I pray he will be well again.

My daughter's brother-in-law had 5 bypass surgery Wed and his lung has collapsed twice. He is in Atlanta hospital and very good care is available there. Please add him to your prayer list, everybody. His name is Paul.

Oh Peggy-

I'm so sorry to hear about this poor man. If they are able to get his meds straightened out, I hope things will turn around for him.

If he doesn't get appreciably better soon, maybe they should seek out the help of a CHF specialist. It helped my Joe, he was in Class 4 CHF and had some other nasty things, pulmonary hypertension and kidney failure, plus his heart enzymes were elevated. He was hospitalized for 31 days, but they really straightened him out. They revamped all his heart meds, and added some more. It turns out that his local card. was not treating him for the correct diagnosis, and he kept destabilizing.

He will be in my prayers.

Peggy,

So sorry to hear of your brother in laws heart problems. They are very similar to my brother's including bypasses, age, 35% heart function. He is due for surgery soon for a hernia (?) from his multiple OHS but seems to be doing ok.

Certainly will include your brother in law in my prayers and hope you take care of yourself through this crisis.

Donna

Peg,

I'm really not that deep into praying, but I did go to church today and gave it my best shot. Thats it, you got it, for what it is worth. God hears all prayers, they tell me.

Thank you all so much

Thank you all so much

Thanks you guys for all the prayers. As of this morning my brother-in-law is still in the hospital. They wanted to go to a Chicago hospital but there wasn't any beds open so they are staying local until one becomes available. The one good thing is that they did tests and right now he is not in failure. We went to see him last night and he is awful weak. This is playing havoc with his mind though. He is getting very depressed and at times talks as if he just wishes "it was just all over." I think a lot of has to do with the fact hat he was always a very active, productive man. He always had something going. Some project. He donated a lot of time to help those less fortunate.
My parents died when I was 14/15 and he and my sister, then 21 years old, took all of my brothers and sisters in. There are 6 of us. The youngest was 5 years old. So I guess you can say that he devoted his life or at least a good 15 years of it to raising his brothers and sisters in law. Anyway thanks to all of you. Ann I will certainly pray for Paul. Nancy I will continue to pray for Joe. Ross you are always in my prayers. Donna, Al and Terry, you and yours will also be in my prayers. Mamsram, all God expects us to do is give it your best shot and I'm sure he heard your prayers. Thank you Peggy

Dear Pegne

I'm glad to hear he is not in failure. I think what he's exeriencing right now is very normal. He was, from what you describe an active man, and now he's been stopped in his tracks. Depresssion is VERY normal, as we all know. I will put both of you in my prayers, and you're right, all God wants us to dio is try our best.

I definately will say some prayers for your brother-in-law. He has been through so much lately that it is understandable that he is somewhat depressed. I hope things improve for him soon.

God Bless and Take Care!

Prayers being sent for both fellows. So sorry to hear of such troubles in younger people. God bless. A group of my weight watcher friends and I have a group ... we call ourselves geese because of how geese fly in the vee formation making it easier for all. We have a saying: love and goosefeathers...I'm sending some along to you also.

Thanks again

Thanks again

Thanks again you guys. My brother-in-law is going to be laid up for a while. I'll have to run his small business for him until he gets better. He has 300+ storage facilities about 15 miles from my home so I'll go over there for a couple hours each day. The ironic thing about that is that the summer before he had his heart attack he taught me the business so I could look after it while they were on vacation. Three months later I was running it while he was having surgery/recovering and such. That was one thing he and my sister didn't have to worry about. Now it looks like I'll be spending time there again. So I guess I'm temporarily in the work force again.

brother in law

brother in law

My brother in law went up to Loyola Medical Center in Chicago today to see a new doctor. They will be doing two angiograms next Tues. One right and one left from what I understand. He will also be having a stress test. The doctor up there said and I quote "We will get you straightened around." That sounds very optomistic to me. I know God heard all your prayers and I am sure He is answering them. Thanks All. Love you all Peggy

Great news

Great news

My brother-in-law went to Loyola today and had both right and left angiograms. They found another blocked artery which they did an angioplasty on. The doctors seems to think that this
should take care of alot of his problems
This is defenitely a sample of how God answers prayers. My thanks to all of you once again for your thoughts and prayers. Love Peggy
