Good thoughts and best wishes to your friend, Ross. I hope that the pacemaker is all that's needed too. At least, the implant isn't an open heart surgery (I don't think, someone correct me if I'm wrong).

One thing to remember about receiving a life-saving heart transplant is that the healthy donor of the gift would not die without service. It would be of tremendous value to me, were I able, to know that my donation could provide another with valuable years of living should my future be so abruptly taken.

I understand qualms, but to live with illness when you could be restored to a higher level of health than you've been blessed with in years ... (I think I'd better stop now. I mean no disrespect for anyone's personal choice).

All that's good to everyone.

He cracked me up. He apologized for getting on me so hard to go for walks in my back yard. He now knows what it's like to barely make it 50ft before he's breathless and paranoid at the feeling of having no air. It's not funny at all and he thought I was declining just to be lazy. What he hasn't had happen yet is all his body functions letting loose during the panic.

It's always nice when our friends and family can finally "get it" when it comes to our valve/health issues. However, it's never a good "see I told you so" moment when they learn because they are experiencing it themselves. We don't wish that on anyone.

Remind your friend of Nancy's mantra "Never give in and never give up."

Ross,

Terry is in our prayers. I hope and pray things turn out well for him. Let him know there are lots of prayers being offered up in his name.

Just a little update. Terry is out for the time being. He really needs to think this through, but do so expediently.

He was cardioverted again yesterday and still hasn't made a decision on the next step. I can't blame him.

ROSS,
nothings ever easy or hard and,no matter how shallow
a situation we cant despair and worry doesnt remove
the sorrows of tomorrow it removes our strenght of today.
