hi everyone , yes i had som eof the same expierences thought
it would take 6weeks to recover it took 9 months .
I had a mitral valve replaced also had bouts of rapid heartbeat
,fluid retention and general malaise . THankfully ,
i am free of all these symptoms and have more
energy now than i did pre op .
Everyone heals at their own speed its the nature of the beast .

Hi Dara, Thanks for your posting saying that you felt better around the 9 month mark..I am 4 months today. I feel pretty good..Back to housework, cooking, walking the dog, did a week-end in the motorhome..Coumadin range is good...but do still achein the incision area. Probably my fault..Like dipping water out of the goldfish pond this morning to replace fresh water...Just will take a Tylenol before bedtime.. Continue to feel good. Bonnie
