cardiologist/surgeon recommendations for Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL?

Good afternoon,

I have been working with some doctors at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL and I would like a second option on my aortic valve replacement.

Does anyone have a cardiologist/surgeon recommendations for Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL?

I could also consider the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.

I live in Gainesville, so if Shands has some quality folks, I could stay local.

Dr. Beaver at Shands did my valve in 2007. If he’s still there, he was great.

Dr. Tomas Martin replaced my valve this year at Shands. Highly recommend. Dr. Beaver is still there as well and to my knowledge is very good.

Dr. Beaver gave me my On-X mitral valve in May 2021. I'm very happy with the result.
He did it through a smaller incision from my right nipple to my right armpit as he was concerned about the scarring from the previous sternum OHO.
