    All - I am almost 9 mos post-op and still think about my heart constantly. My fitness levels are slowly coming back, but the experience of OHS kinda 'haunts' me. Maybe that's where Lou is coming from as well. I don't think of OHS as a horrible experience, but it certainly was a huge event...

    Recovery Times

    I felt like I was over the surgery at about the 3 mos. mark, but it really took to about the 6 mos. time frame to feel "normal." I am still not where I was pre-surgery in my fitness levels, but that's coming along OK. Mom for a month could be a great help. Good luck. Dan

    I am 8 mos. out and still think about it every day. I feel lucky and somewhat apprehensive at the same time. Lucky because I am here and moving forward without restrictions, raising a family, working, playing, etc... Apprehensive because my valve issues are believed to be the result of damage...

    Lou, Talk to the doctor about this. I don't have an answer for you, but sometimes (as you probably know) you need to try different meds before you find the right one. Counseling can help too, or talking to a friend or pastor. I speak from my own experience. Dan (Clicker)
