I've been toting one around for 6 months now and it's still flapping away. :) I only hear it in bed, mostly when I'm laying on my right side. Good luck

Sorry to hear your repair did not last as long as hoped for. I got the on-x last year at Florida Hospital in Orlando. Everything is going well so far. I take warfarin now and have not had any problems. I was back to cycling about 3 months post op.

I may be wrong about this, but I believe the coaguchek requires less blood on the test strip. You touch the side of the strip an it draws the blood in.

Rich, Maybe your not interested in home testing, but it is such a convience. Only a small prick on the finger tip. Whole process takes less than 5 minutes and you have an instant result.
