Not sure where to put this

Thank you all for your kind words. I have contacted my therapist and have an appointment to talk things out. I'm hoping we can kick this episode to the curb before it gets to bad. Thanks again

Not sure where to put this

Just curious if anyone here deals with depression as well as heart issues? I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder about 10+ years ago. I'm five and a half weeks post surgery and really getting low again. I'm not sure if I should just try to suck out up or if it's something I should...

How long does it take to regulate?

Thank you all! I have now been discharged from home health care and will attend my first Coumadin clinic tomorrow. I'm just trying to be patient and look forward to only being stuck once a week, dare I say, once a month.

How long does it take to regulate?

I'm almost five weeks post-surgery, double valve replacement of my aortic and mitral valves. My INR levels are still bouncing like crazy. I've been told that it will eventually level off, any idea when that might happen? I was having digestive issues but they have been resolved so I've been...

    What to expect?

After my check-UP yesterday with my cardiologist he is sending me to cardiac rehab. I'm excited but not sure what to expect. I was not fit our in shape before surgery, and despite a 30+ pound weight loss I'm not fit still. So what do you do there? What kind of clothing should I wear? How...

    Medication Reaction

The medicine given to me by the G.I. is called metoclopramide. I have been on it for about 24 hours now and I think it might be working. I am keeping down liquids and definitely feeling almost no nausea. I'm crossing my fingers!!

After your surgery, what are some of the things that you found out that surprised you

I was very surprised to have extreme pain in my arms/ shoulders. Our best guess is my arms were put in a splayed and awkward positions for my 8 & 1/2 hour surgery.

    Medication Reaction

The G.I. has prescribed another anti-nausea medication. Hopefully this will help. She didn't want to order any test yet since I'm only 4 weeks out. I'll keep you updated...

    Medication Reaction

Thank you all for some good advice! I am not sure what is causing the nausea, I just want it to stop. For more clarification, after the surgery I was prescribed: warafin, coreg, bumetanide, tramadol, & lisinopril. When the symptoms showed up they took away the visibility. I stopped taking...

    Medication Reaction

I am 3 and 1/2 weeks out from having my mitral and aortic valves replaced. I received mechanical valves. I came home from the hospital just over a week ago. I came home with a boatload of medication. Every day I am extremely nauseous and often vomit throughout the morning. I have stumped my...
