I know it's not much but I am so happy to be a month out from my surgery. Everybody says it gets better and I am waiting for that! Surgery wise, I'm actually feeling pretty good. My scabs are almost gone, and my incision is looking great. Other than my stomach issues, I feel good.

The medicine given to me by the G.I. is called metoclopramide. I have been on it for about 24 hours now and I think it might be working. I am keeping down liquids and definitely feeling almost no nausea. I'm crossing my fingers!!

I was very surprised to have extreme pain in my arms/ shoulders. Our best guess is my arms were put in a splayed and awkward positions for my 8 & 1/2 hour surgery.

The G.I. has prescribed another anti-nausea medication. Hopefully this will help. She didn't want to order any test yet since I'm only 4 weeks out. I'll keep you updated...
