Where are you getting your supplies?

That and the exchange rate is but disadvantageous. Happily I have a couple of choices down here that are acceptable. 👍♠ 😀

    6 months post-surgery today!

Hi I mean mechanical, but while there is a marginal difference in flows in the favour of a bioprosthesis we know that in the long term that advantage goes away and after 10 years (speaking statistically) the mech will pull ahead. you're welcome, and to be clear I have no interest in...

    6 months post-surgery today!

its an interesting point and I'm afraid I can't give data points too well (over different surgeries with different valve types), but I suspect its also related to the fact that in pure effectiveness the mechanical valve is not as good as your native healthy valve was. Its all part of the 'parts...

I wasn't sure, which is why I asked. Also I do not understand why step 6 is not in step 5

    Warfarin Protocol Initiated!

For @Seaton (and anyone else) wind down to the lancing point work smoothly, without panic but with some speed lance the side (protecting the fingertip which has more nerves where you need them) practice getting it all near the edge of the stip Don't forget to cock the lance first do some...

    Dosing for tooth removal

well I didn't say "colonoscopy" but ... I'm also referencing this: So, you still need to follow the steps I mentioned above in that order including the testing because you'll be off warfarin for 5 days in total which may take longer than you think for your INR to return. This is why we...

    Dosing for tooth removal

I'm a bit lost ... so to be clear you're intending to stop warfarin commence heparin (I'll guess that you're using the brand of Lovenox) cease warfarin 12 hours before you go to dentist give the wound some time to heal (say, 12 hours) commence warfarin and continue lovenox measure INR daily...

Where are you getting your supplies?

I note you are in Maryland, as was Timmay, so is Reliaston an East Coast based place?

Where are you getting your supplies?

I'm sort of curious as to why one would need this, I mean its not a drug you don't eat it (I'm surprised to have learned that there is actually "prescription from a veterinarian type dog food") diabetics buy strips for their blood tests from Cosco.. and also prick their finger (often 5 times a...

I've been promoting this a bit here (not being American nor based there) ever since @Timmay mentioned this to me. Seems ideal

    Continuing bigeminal PVCs/PACs

Hi Amy well firstly I'd raise this to the attention of your GP and cardiologist, especially mentioning the feeling light headed. It may be also AFib ... good thing you're already on warfarin. if it was me I'd try that ... if the pills are 50mg then I'd begin with taking half of one (I mean I...

    On-X and Lower INR Protocol

quick question Chuck ... as "cuts" were mentioned I would wonder if you get many of those. I only did martial arts like Aikido where cuts were pretty unheard of. Is it common someone will get an eyebrow opened up in sparring? I'd guess that's more a 'compeition' area.

    Vision Issues and Coumadin

Good morning Mary I haven't experienced that but, to the best of my knowledge, it is neither caused by or exacerbated by warfarin. I hope that @vitdoc may be able to share more on this. Best Wishes

Did I sell out? Not exactly

Agreed Ironically diabetics get test strips and meters supplied in Australia, but we don't. So I've been out of pocket since I started (2012). I hasten to add that it's cheaper than even parking trying to get a free blood test (and I'd happily pay to avoid the cumulative vein injuries anyway)

    Backwards trend in Echo Measurements

I'm unsurprised: 1 it took how long before one guy outs this? 2 people only look for specific things and ignore the others https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2013/02/11/171409656/why-even-radiologists-can-miss-a-gorilla-hiding-in-plain-sight About three years ago, Drew started...
