    Covid Vaccines

The responses on this board to people that disagree with groupthink and the 'acceptable' way you should think nowadays is a saddening state of humanity. I originally got attacked for stating that I will not vaccinate myself. I am not going to waste my time replying to people that are lost and...

    Covid Vaccines

You are so bright. Your narrative quickly falls apart when you consider Trump is the one that pushed the manufacturers to develop the vaccine quickly and to this day still recommends it.

    Covid Vaccines

You should really turn off your TV and CNN and whatever other channels you are watching. Why don't you go lookup who India's health minister is and his ties to the corrupt WHO. By the way, people can get really sick from a lot of **** not named covid, including sitting on their couch and...

    Covid Vaccines

It's pretty hilarious that people jump to 'conspiracy theory' talk when they hear someone that doesn't agree with the main stream air waves. Nobody has brainwashed me, it is quite the contrary, look in the mirror. I have spent at least 2-3 hours per day on average since covid19 became a thing...

    Covid Vaccines

No vaccine for me. In my 40's and almost a decade removed from OHS with a mechanical valve and aortic graft. The statistics and data point to my risk being minuscule and I did verify with my cardiologist I am not in any increased risk from Covid because of my medical history. The risks of me...

So scared and feel so alone

Dean: Your feelings are totally normal. I was 35 when I decided to have OHS, with a 3 year old at the time. It was the toughest decision I had to make in my life, but one I am glad I did make. The surgeon and cardiologist said I could have held off based on the data they were seeing regarding...

INR range for AVR with On-X

Rehashing an old thread here. I got an on-x valve in 2013 for my aortic valve. Have been in the 1.5 - 2.0 INR range for over a year and no issues. The FDA approved the lower INR for the on-x valve in 2015.

Mechanical valvers, what's your INR vs. Warfarin dose?

My INR range is 1.5 - 2.0 (I have an on-x value which I got installed in 2013!). I also take an 81 mg aspirin. This has been my range for almost the past year plus. I take approximately 52.5 mg of warfarin per week.

    39 years old..tavr vs mechanical?

I was faced with a similar decision 4 years ago when I was 35. Mechanical vs Tissue. It came down to one thing for me, data. There is just no history and data yet on TAVR. I got an on-x mechanical. My surgeon said that there is a .5% increase each year in my chance I'll need another surgery...

    PVC's and ablasion

2 years post op here with AVR (on-x valve) and ascending aortic aneurysm repair. I've recently wore a holter for 24 hours and they said 40% of the time I'm having PVC's. My cardio referred me to the cardio in his office that deals with these cases and does all the fancy electro-phys stuff, if...

FDA Approval: On-X aortic valves with less warfarin

Is this just a step towards not needing warfarin anymore and perhaps just using plavix and aspirin to keep INR between 1.5-2.0? I wonder if that is the end game they are shooting for. I am pretty happy with my on-x valve choice.

14 month POST AVR / Ascending Aneurysm Report

Howdy folks. I've been MIA for a long time, I hope to change that and be active in the forums for those of you that always helped me in my tough days of before. I'm happy to report I feel pretty excellent at 14 months post op! I definitely don't feel like I had surgery only 14 months ago (AVR...
