Eight hours until surgery--still seems surreal to me. I feel the most for my family...it's hard to see them worry. As someone with a strong faith, I have peace about the surgery...will update you with all the details when I am home from the hospital. --Jill

Wow, skeptic, must have been surreal to find out you were that close...just the word "aneurysm" is scary but the reality is worse. :) Thanks for the good wishes...two more days until surgery. Will be very glad to be past this point.
Rufus, It sounds like you've been through a lot--my heart goes out to you. I don't know much about the NHS but from the personal UK stories I've read, they do not seem to prioritize aneurysms. I think most cardiologists are too busy and diagnose from the "cautious" perspective instead of taking...
