Is percutaneous aortic valve replacement being done for regurgitation?

As I understand the proceedure a balloon is used to crush the old valve and make the opening wider then the new valve is expanded and deployed. I also read in one of Adam Picks news letters that it is being tested for those who already have a tissue replacement that is failing.

Well here I am back at Barnes Jewish Hospital

Those of you that don't believe in God close your ears. When it appeared that I had lung cancer we called everyone we knew that believed in prayer and started a prayer chain. The lung dr. came by a little while ago and said he did not have bad news. He said in fact I have good news. He said if...

Well here I am back at Barnes Jewish Hospital

Thanks to all. Just waiting to see the plan. Hopefully it is in early stage and local. I will ask for more information today . There was not so much confusion on the Xray it indicated a collapsed lung lobe. The confusion was if it was from pneumonia or not. The support of folks on this...

Well here I am back at Barnes Jewish Hospital

Well I had the scope at 10:30. There is a mass and they took samples. The dr said it will likely come back milignant. I guess I will just have to wait and see what the plan is. It is scarry because I know the survival rate for lung cancer is not good. Kind of down.

Norma Yes I knew if the CT indicated a colapsed lobe they would want to scope me. I also knew the Dr. in my home town that does it and his record is not good. ( I have a surgery RN for a daughter and a Xray tech. son so I knew I did not want it there) The Dr. came by and explained the...

Well here I am back at Barnes Jewish Hospital

Well I guess it is not a simple case. After the CT I am now without food so they can try to schedule a broncoscope. There appears to be an obstruction in my lung and they are going to take a sample to determine wat it is. Does not sound good.

Well here I am back at Barnes Jewish Hospital

Thanks to all. The docs came in earlier and they are going to do another ct scan on me in a little while to get a better reading and check progress. I am still coughing but feel tons better. I think they are scratching their head because my symptoms did not fit any typical pneumonia . Of...
