I had my EP study done yesterday which turned out great. Sounds like all my arrythmias will be corrected and they will also do a Maze Procedure on the right side. While I was recovering my husband got a call from the surgeons NP. The pre-op testing that was done on Monday showed that i had a bladder infection. My surgery is now scheduled for April 20th. I was quite devestated to say the least. I will post more later. Its been a rough night and I just dont' feel very well.

I know this is distressing, but it usually works out for the best when a surgery is rescheduled. Take it easy and get some rest.:)

Waiting for surgery and preparing for surgery was the hardest part for me. Surgery and recovery was in relation much easier, at least mentally.

Sorry for your delay, good luck.

Sorry to hear about the delay. I know it's frustrating as I got bumped a month myself. Keep busy, and use the time to your advantage...do some fun stuff.....and the time will pass before you know it.

So sorry to hear that. You really do work quite hard to psyche yourself up for The Big Day, so to have it moved at the last minute would be very difficult to deal with. But - better to make sure you're in top shape so you don't end up with complications and a much longer stay (and recovery) than you need.

Keep busy, April 20 will be here before you know it.

Laura,i'm so sorry,i can identify with waiting,it takes alot

I know how you feel...and it is devastating. My operation was originally scheduled for Mar 5, but 2 days prior, I developed a small mouth ulcer. Since my doc wanted to take all precautions, my surgery was rescheduled to Apr 7. It's hard enough trying to get mentally prepared for the operation, and it gets even harder when it's taken from you.

I'm trying to focus on today...trying to take it day by day, but it's sometimes hard. My good days are out-numbering the not so good days, so I guess I can't complain. :)

Stay strong! Stay positive! You're not alone!

Sure hope you feel better. How did your EP study turn out? Hopefully your UTi
will clear up fast, make sure they do a repeat urine, to confirm all the bacteria is gone. Can't imagine they wouldn't but you never know.Take care.

I have an appt w/ my family doc next friday to do a urine check and then another pre-op appt to check it again on the 4-9. that way if it does reoccur there will be more than enoug time to get thru another round of antibiotics. I'll post more on the EP study this weekend when I have more time. The kids aren't being very cooperative today and my hubby is sick.

Sorry your surgery is delayed. Take care of the bladder infection. You would not want to go to surgery w/an infection. Hope the time goes fast for you.

Definitely want to get that infection cleared up 100% before the surgery. Also gives you a little extra time to spend with your family, go out to eat etc. Do it now because you may feel like crap for awhile afterwards. I hope you don't & sail thru the operation pain free & ready to dance out of the hospital.

I do love to dance. They better be giving me some pretty strong stuff to be dancing out of there. LOL
