Just an update four weeks post op- have started Cardiac rehab, and realized how slow I should be exercising at this point (yikes). Am off Lovenox (yeah!) and managed to get in range finally. My live in help is gone, but my driving priviliages have returned, so life is good! I have been able to enjoy the new freedoms of driving to Target BY MYSELF and staying as long as I want! I still cant raise my left arm above my shoulder due to the pacemaker, but I am getting much better about accepting it all. :) I was a god parent to my brothers first girl after three boys, and I cheated a little and held her - she is likely barely over ten pounds- and it was well worth it! :) I have decided to stop taking Tylenol, since I think I was getting into the habbit of taking it, and realized that I am really not in pain anymore! It really does get better every day, and the time really has been flying. cant believe it is all over with. This forum has been so great! It has actually gotten to be a little addicting:eek:Thanks for all the support along the way.

Congratulations on the small mile stone. Now if we can keep your INR in range, you'll be even happier.

Happy to hear how well you are doing. You tone sounds so happy and upbeat. Yeah for you!!!!

You sound wonderful- there's nothing like a trip to Target by yourself to lift your spirits!

Great post after only four short weeks. Keep on looking to the future and understand some down days may hit and realize they are all part of the package.

Hi MNmom,

Glad to hear your recovery is going well. Take care of yourself and keep on walking. It is easy to forget you have had major surgery...so do not push yourself. I am five months out and my wife has to remind me that I am not fully healed yet (your body will remind you also).

And yes VR is very addictive. Sorta like a dysfunctional family on steriods. God bless every member.:)I would have gone crazy (maybe crazier is more correct) pre surgery without the help from VR members.
