It has been a tough day. Just found out that my Niece is in hospital with congestive heart failure. She is 32. She has had a hard life, lots of medical problems throughout the years, in fact 2 months ago she underwent a kidney transplant. now this.

From the sounds of it her aortic valve will have to be replaced, which is where I hope I can come in and be helpful with her through the process. I did email her mother and remind her about my history and the possibility of the bicuspid valve being hereditary and for them to share that info with the doctors.

I just feel really sad for my Niece,, all that she has been through and now this, but I am there for her with any help I can give, but it is hard with her 2000 miles away. I told her, my brother and her mother about this site which I am hoping they will come and join.

Such a young person with so much illness, it's so unfair.

CHF is at least treatable with medications and if she needs surgery, that will help too.

She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry to read this news, but hopefully your experience will help your niece if she eventually needs valve replacement.
Looking forward to her joining us

Sorry to hear of your nieces health issues. Prayers being extended for her and your family. You sound like a caring uncle; I'm sure she's blessed to have you.

I am so sorry to hear of your niece's ordeal w/CHF so shortly after having undergone a kidney transplant. Life sucks sometimes & it just doesn't seem fair! :(

I hope that she will start feeling better soon & if she needs to have her aortic valve replaced in order for her to lead a meaningful life, well then she'll have to do it!

Saying prayers for her & for you too! Hang in there! :)

So sorry to hear this, but I hope they do join so we can help them through this. I know she is lucky to have such a caring uncle as you. Best wishes to the entire family.

I was 33 when my troubles started. I really feel for her. Count me in on a couple prayers too.
