A little early to start drinking isn't it:cool:

No, it's not. The Kentucky Derby is in two days and all our politicians are still...I mean already...drinking.

Maybe it's not too late for you to enter as a Jockey Cooker. You're at least short enough.

Think ACTIVITY POINTS!!

On a serious, and different, point, we spent a couple days at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington (Cindy's mom had three stent put in her abdomen; she's fine). Anyway, the point is that their cafeteria offers WW items, entrees, soup, vegetables, etc. They posted each item's points. It was very helpful and we were impressed.

Friday already?!...geeez this past week has gone so fast I nearly missed it :D .

No great losses or gains here to report...I am giving my scales a mini holiday and judging my weight by the fit of my clothes  ...

I hope all our losers have had a wonderful week.

Well, I got on the scale this morning, but I didn't like what I saw. I know exactly why, though... Our dish washer is broken so we haven't wanted to cook and get any dishes dirty, so we've eaten take out every day this week. The sodium alone would do it. Also, I have a friend who is in the hospital so I've been visiting her after work the last couple of days. Makes running through fast food a lot easier than picking up something a bit more healthy.

So here are the sad results:

Starting weight: 142
Last week: 132
This week: 134
Week's change: +2
Total change: -8

Eating out every night and only up two....that's great....you really must have been trying to watch what you ate....I'm sure you will be headed in the other downward direction next week......oh, call the Maytag man:D

As reported last week I had a SUBSTANTIAL GAIN while on vacation:eek: ....3 meals a day for nine days comes out to twenty-seven meals, each meal I'm sure met or exceeded my daily WW point allotment:eek: ....But do not fear!!!!....I have recently submitted a patent for "Cooker's Quick Purge" .....which is fast acting and "prune free":p ....The results speak for themselves.......

Starting weight........233
Last Week...................211.5
This week....................204
Weekly Change............-7.5
Total Loss......................29

Hi Guys

Evelyn, checking in. Down only.2 this week at ww's.....but down is better than up, so i'll take it.

Today is a crazy day, but already have chicken over salad planned for lunch out.

Thanks, Cooker, for this site.

Way to go!!!...As long as the scales are going in the right direction progress is being made:)

I also weighed at WW yesterday and stayed the same for the week. I'm feeling pretty good about it; I think I will have a good loss this coming week. How's that for optimistic?:p :p
Good job Evelyn and Cooker!:)

SUPERBOB has lost three pounds since last Saturday. He thinks that's pretty good because he's off any formal exercise program because of his dysfunctional right knee. But he was hobbling around the back yard this week taking care of the pups when he realized, "Hey I AM walking -- well sorta...not a hike in the mountains but I am walking (contrary to the doctor's orders, but oh well...)

SUPERBOB also has been far better about not hugely snacking at bedtime. That makes a difference.

Congrats to all the stay-the-course Throw-Downers, whether there's a weekly loss or not.

Cooker, you are my hero! What discipline! What results!
Evelyn, a loss is a loss whatever the amount! Good for you!
Mary, I do think weightloss periodically "corrects" and it sounds like you're due for a correction. Your attitude is just right, IMO.
Niki, all things considered, not bad.

I'm down 1.5 this week, so I'm happy.

Starting weight: 179
Last week: 175
This week: 143.5
Total loss: 35.5

Whoa! Superbob is awesome! What's your total loss now, Bob?

You're doing great, P.J.! Way to go.

Superbob's total loss is 25 pounds, way behind you, but I have much more I need to lose than you do, so maybe someday Superbob will catch up with ya. :)

The powers of SuperBob prevail:D ?.mountain hikes or no mountain hikes?..The sheer power of mind over scone have proven unstoppable:D ?..Way to go SB?now don?t go over doing that knee?..

I was down another fraction of a lb this morning. I've been at this for over a year now and have reached the point where I rarely lose whole pounds week to week.

I weigh myself every morning and plot it on a chart. The daily graph is jagged with ups and downs of a couple lbs from any one day to the next. So what I do is plot a moving average under the daily. That's the average of the preceding 7 days so it smooths out the jaggies and shows a true trend line. If I only looked at the daily line I'd get very discouraged thinking I've hit a never ending plateau, but the moving average, even with small wobbles, shows a slow and steady decline. It keeps my head in the game.
