Fluid in Lungs:
How long does it take for this to dissipate and what can I do to help expedite this?

Effusion:
Using Colchocine and NSAID how long does it take for this condition to completely go away?

I don't have experience with your issues - just wanted to say that I hope you feel better soon!

No comment on the fluid in lung issue but I had pericardial effuision and I guess it was significant enough to make a drug cure NOT an option. I had a pericardial drain (big needle), spent 2 days in the hospital after the drain was done. Relief was almost immediate following the drain. Just thought I'd mention my experience... I'm guessing you've had some discussion with your cardio or surgeon about your options to address the effusion.

I had pericardial tamponade and was drained surgically (chest tube). However, upon discharge I still had some fluid in the lungs and the possibility of effusion was still there so I was prescribed Acetylsalic Acid EC for 2 weeks, Lasix every other day for 1 week, Misoprostol for 2 weeks, and Colchocine for 3 months. The fluid had completely cleared about 5 weeks after the drain and never reoccured.
