MB?.great job!!...Sometimes eating a little extra will help jump start some weight loss. If we don?t eat enough our bodies think we are starving and fight back.

Jack?.I am with you 100%....It seemed like it took me forever to get my holiday pounds off. There always seems like there is an occasion to eat!!!...Easter is right around the corner and that means a major family meal at the Chimp household...The seesawing is my major battle:eek:

SUPERBOB has trained all his superpowers on these blasted scales and they will not budge! They must have been diabolically devised by Lex Luthor of the Injustice League.

No scones this week, yet no change on the scales. Watch out, Lex, the Man of Steel is coming after you and your rigged scales! :p

Meanwhile, SUPERBOB congratulates all who have lost or just hung in there! :) Cooker and Magic, good losses!

Superbob, this can ONLY be the work of that fiend, Lex Luthor!!!! ....He knows that he can not win out over your super powers so he monkeys ( ) with your scales, frustration is his only tool!!!....See?he could not cause them to read higher?only the same?..His defeat is imminent!!!!!!:) :)

Either that or he came too close to some of that white Krytonite and turned into Bizarro Superbob. Find the antidote quick.

One pound off this week, finally. I am working through lunch and hubby is taking me to Carrabas(Italian) tonight for a one day late Valentines gift.

Congrats to everyone with a weight loss. Everyone else hang in there. It took me several weeks to drop a pound. The imporatant thing is to eat healthier and exercise(Even if you hate it).

Hah! Beat you to it. My wife and I had Carrabas Chicken Parm last night. Here's how much my life has changed in the last year. I only ate HALF of it. I used to glut down the whole danged thing without blinking but now whether I want to or not I can't finish a full restaurant meal.

I have been good this week eating healthy. But, I just can't make myself exercise. The doctor said if I would just walk twice a day for thirty minutes at a brisk pace he would be happy. I know you said you hate exercise, too. What can I do to motivate myself. I don't have time in the morning and I am too lazy at night. I know I need the exercise but if my husband gets off the treadmill and says your turn, it just makes me not want to do it that much more. I am 57. I swim in the summer but winter exercise just does not excite me.

Hi Sue....this made me chuckle but it also made me think:eek:

I have made myself a promise to exercise three days next week for one hour a day. Now that I have said it out loud I have to do it. Thats just me.

I am really lokking forward to Carrabas tonight. I can never eat all of a meal. My husband and I usually each bring home enough for next day leftovers. I have never had a meal there that wasn't delicious.

I don't know if you have been exercising or not but if not you may want to start out with 30 minutes at a time. If you pull something you might just say the heck with it. Good luck and send the leftovers to South Carolina:D

No, No -- just call SUPERBOB and he will fly right in and take care of those Carrabas leftovers in a flash! :p :p

Congrats on your progress, Sue.

Hold on now Superbob....you eat those leftovers and you won't be flying at all.....I think that would be called.....ready......intentional grounding :D :D

I think Phyllis said we are going to dinner at Carrabbas next week when we meet in Boca Raton!

I've never been there before, but it sounds like a popular place with the Throw Down crew!;)

Since I'm not officially weighing in, I will indulge in all the good things they have to offer, and the rest of you can salivate reading my first-hand account.;)

No eating, just salivating!:D

Congratulations to all who survived the St. Valentine's Day Massacre and lived to weigh another day.
You done good!:p :p

Congratulations to: Freddie, Evelyn, Eightball, Sumo, and Cooker. What a bunch of losers!!!:p

I wish I could say I'm a loser too, but not this week (or last!):(

Starting weight: 179
Two weeks ago: 150
Last week: 150.5
This week: 151.5
This week's loss (gain) ( 1.5)
and last's combined
Total loss: 27.5

This week should be better--hubby will be out of town, so there'll be no wine and I'll be insulating, drywalling, painting, and reorganizing (somewhat finishing an unfinished room in the basement) so I should be burning more than the usual amount of calories and probably eating less to boot.

Good luck to all in the coming week!

SUPERBOB just read up on the caloric intake at his anniversary bash at Outback: they were busy so we spent an hour at bar first where we had Aussie cheese fries -- 2,900 calories (no kidding). Superbob had the 12 ounce prime rib -- 675 calories. He had a sweet potato with tons of brown sugar baked in -- approx 500 cals. Finally, he had cheesecake Olivia drizzled with raspbery sauce -- 700 calories, Oh yeah and two Amstel Lights -- 200 cals.

If SUPERBOB keeps eating like that, he won't have any more anniversaries to celebrate.

Anniversary celebrations are just that, a celebration....you can't celebrate with celery and yogurt:D We had a drop in this weekend in honor of our 25th wedding anniversary....the drop-in was in fact an eat in:eek: ...But I have had my walk and am back on track.....SB, grab Superdawg and hit the trail!!!:)

SUPERBOB has been having a hard time controlling his appetite this week (and, yes, we are talking about food here :p ) First, there was the valve anniversary pig-out (oops, someone with a pig valve shouldn't be using that term. :p . Then this morning he had to take SUPERDAWG to the vet and leave her for a teeth-cleaning. Yes, he frets excessively over Sadie girl, but, nervous and worrying, he stopped by Bojangles and got some greasy breakfast grub to assauge his woes -- and then got home and found his thoughtful wife had poached some eggs for him. Breakfast isn't usually his problem -- midnight snacking is. But now he has had 3 breakfasts. If the Man of Steel manages even a half-pound loss this week, it will be a miracle.

Same old/same old..staying at 170 lbs. Did not even go with Hubby to take thrash/mail/walk dog this morning..due to a cold wind.. Woke with a slight cough yesterday..Had kelp Grandson and he had it...over the weekend. If it warms up..will try to get in a spin down the road/back later..Bonnie
