I just received a surprise phone call about an hour ago. The surgeon just called and told me that my Aortic Valve replacement will be done on Monday (we've been waiting for a date for a couple of weeks, I geuss I got it). So, I am headed for Cleveland in the morning for a noon admission, and pre surgery testing. The Dr prfers SJ over ON X, so, I guess I'll be joining the ranks of the St Jude "valvers". Once again I would like to thank all of you, and the website, for providing information, encouragement, and a sense of belonging.
I find coming to the site uplifting and emotionally recharging.

I'll see you on the other side of the mountain.

Gosh - quite a surprise way to end the week. Wishing you all the best and you are joining a great club.;) :D

Godspeed.

Good Luck!

Good Luck!

Bruce:
So sorry to learn of your need for a second OHS, you must have had some serious complications after your first OHS on Sept. 24, 2007 (just ahead of me). I know sometimes that repairs to the Aortic valve do not always work.

Betsy and I wish you the very best as you make the journey over the mountain for the second time in less than three months.

Please tell you wife if she needs anything, to let us know via email...
