You sure sound like a good candidate for self-testing! It made me so much more comfortable to be able to test myself, get immediate results, and know I could re-test as needed-whether it was antibiotics or stomach flu or whatever was causing me concern. Self testing got me past the post-surgical paranoia, too.
It took about a week to get set up. Instant results are sooooo much better.

Thanks to Jim, for listing the link to the coumadin clinics! I found one right across from the hospital where I do cardiac rehab. I just run over there right after and I'm in and out. My INR has actually been in range for over a week now - very exciting since I had been below range for two months. And Ross you were right, the amoxicillan did nothing to my INR but the nurse did have me tested more often whille I was on it just to make sure.

Anyhow, just wanted to add that little end note and say thanks again!
