Just wanted to say a big THANKS to the VR community. It's been one year to the day that I went under, and after some bumpy roads at first I'm doing quite well now. Congrats also to Temp, Deb, and many others who had surgery around this time last year. I'm still almost 100% pacemaker dependent, but I certainly feel a lot better than I had for years prior to the surgery. I'm working one day a week giving music lessons and that's going well. I go to the gym fairly often too, and the cardio & strength training I'm doing seems to help a lot. I feel I can do much more than prior to the AVR. Again, thanks to all of you for your support & information!--Chris

and this from my spouse:
And a big thanks from me, his wife, as well. You were all a big help. I never thought it would get easier, but it has. All of you kept me focused and secure in knowing that he would get through the difficulty. Every day has been a true new beginning. I thank all you for your advice, your kindness, and your concern for both of us.--Carla

Congrats from one Hoosier to another. :) Isn't it great to put a year behind you? Just celebrated my 10th last month, and it feels terrific.

Go out and celebrate with that fantastic, very supportive wife of yours. :D

Congratulations, Chris and Carla- it is truly wonderful on this side of the mountain and we wish you many more years of good health together!

Congratulations to both of you! Hard to believe it's been one year, but in ways it also seems that it's been much longer because you went through so much. Prayers for a great life for you and many many more anniversaries that you can look back and say "life is good!"

Congratulations on the 1-year anniversary and the improvements since surgery. Here's my wish to you that you enjoy many, many more anniversaries.

Congratulations on your anniversary, and hopefully many, many more to come.
Rich
