Hi All,

I am really happy to be home. Surgery went fine, Dr. said that he did the very basic procedure and dint have to expand the aorta. I wont say I am feeling awesome may be I dint expect it to hurt that much and it really does when I lie down or get up. I just pray that the incision heals soon. It also hurts to cough, I have lost my sleep too. I sound like a complaint box:p
But I am glad that Gaurav and my Inlaws are here to take care of me. Whenever I feel low I tell myself that this is just a phase and will pass by.
But you guys have been a tremendous support.

Love n hugs (that will make my pain go..:)) u all are my pillow)

Swati,

Welcome home. You are right - the pain will pass and your life will be even better. Don't forget to rest and then walk and rest and walk and......

yes, welcome home, you will get better and stronger with each passing day. congrats on making it thru surgery!!!:)

So glad you are home and hope that every day brings improvement in your recovery. So glad you have a supportive husband and family to help you heal.

Glad to read you're home Swati! You may not notice feeling better every single day but you should notice every couple or few days that you are feeling better. Take care and post again.

So glad to hear that your back home. The soreness will get better in time. I did a lot of avoiding situations that would hurt my chest. It hurt really bad to lay down in bed, and get up, etc. So, I slept upright on the couch for 6 weeks. I wouldn't say that was very comfortable either, but it was better then laying flat in the bed.

You will get stronger and better every week. Just hang in there. ;)

Best Wishes,
Shannon

join the pain club. I had lots of trouble lying down and then getting back up. You will eventually figure out a way to do it that hurts less. If you have a recliner, you might find sleeping in that will be better than your bed - till some healing takes place. If you have pain meds, be sure to take one early enough to stave off the approaching pain. We promise the pain will be alleviated soon. If you think coughing hurts, then try not to sneeze. First time I did, I was so shocked. Just do all you can to stop a sneeze. As all have said, you will soon feel less pain. I trust all else is going well. Please keep us in the loop and as you know, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Blessins...........

Thanks

Thanks

Hi,

I am feeling much better now, thanks to you all for your love and blessings. Pain is still there but now I know how to deal with it. Had some episodes of disturbed vision followed by head aches, I dont know if it is to be taken seriously but I use to have this pre surgery too....occasionally though.

I have been walking but not too much...I think I have to work on it...being a little lazy  .

Hope all is well with everyone.

Will keep you posted,

Love

Swati,

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better after the ordeal you've gone through.

What kind of vision problems are you having? What you've said sounds kind of like the migraine headaches I get. I get what is almost tunnel vision, no peripheral vision, with little spots of light across my eyes. This lasts about 20 minutes and then I have a headache afterwards. I usually take some aspirin as soon as the vision problems start to offset the headache.

Keep up the work on the walking!

walking is very important. It helps get your lungs and heart back in shape. Also using the breathing thing they gave you at the hospital. Deep breathing is necessary for the lungs to hurry up.

Others also report the headache with and without aura for migraines. It is said that some migraines are connected with heart issues. You can search VR by typing in 'migraine' in the search section (above) and find many posts. Good luck.

Blessins...........
