Just got home after being in Roanoke for almost two weeks. Our new granddaughter arrived on Wed. May 23rd. She weighed in at 7lbs. 1oz. and was 20in. long. She is perfect, but what do you expect Nana to say!?! Our daughter came through the delivery fine, and dad and new big brother, Braden are doing well also. I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. I'm glad to be back and look forward to catching up with you all and finding out what I've missed. LINDA

Congratulations, Grandma.

Hope you are able to get some needed rest.

Congratulations, there's nothing nicer than welcoming a new baby into your family. If your anything like me I can't pass by baby shops without going in, send my best wishes to your daughter, son in law, and grandson also ....Mary

Congratulations and enjoy every minute, Grandma and I know how nice it is also to be home in your own bed. :D

Thanks everyone for your good wishes! Grandchildren keep us young. I had the most precious time with Braden during the last couple of weeks. He is so sweet with his new sister, although he does have his "moments". But what can you expect when he's been the center of the universe for almost three years. Anyway, we played in his sandbox everyday. And I mean "in the sandbox". He wouldn't let me just sit outside of it...I had to be in it with him. Those are "kodak" moments one never forgets. I'm going to try to learn how to post some pictures on here. Thanks again! LINDA

It's amazing how young our grandchildren keep us- these old bones protest, but I have spent many hours "in the sandbox" and have enjoyed every minute of it!

Christina, her name is Sydney Reese. We are "over the moon"! Our daughter and son-in-law were hoping for a girl. They are both teachers and since we all know what kind of salaries teachers make, they were pretty much planning on having just two children. Having both a boy and a girl is a real bonus. Of course, needless to say, we would have felt very blessed with whatever God decided to give. Our number one prayer was answered: A healthy baby! LINDA
