On my echo report there is a sentence, Mitral annulus measures approximately 3.5 cm. Could someone tell me what this means. I know I have moderately severe regurg also my mitral valve shows moderate posterior annulus calcification. I know in my future I will need surgery to fix this valve and perhaps my tricuspid as well. However I am still recovering from a severe accident I had 1 year ago and do not think an operation now is advisable nor does my Cardio. I am not young , well in my 60's and need surgery also on my leg and shoulder due to accident so dont know what to do. Would appreciate answer to Mitral Annulus
