Just got back from Tampa Florida and a wonderful visit with my daughter and family. I haven't been able to travel for several years because Joe was so ill. My daughter always had to go North to see me. So it was high time that I went down there. The visit was delightful. Got to see my grandsons play baseball. The 14 year old is now 6'4" tall! He and his younger brother are into all kinds of sports.

Didn't do anything spectacular, just family things and "hung out" with them. It was very nice and VERY hot, near 100 one of the days, unfortunately, the day we had to go to the ballpark and sit in the sun. Brought my heavy duty sunblocker and I didn't get burned at all.

The flights were great.

So I'm back now, and playing catch up with things at home.

Good for you Nancy!:) Sounds like a great trip! My stepdad passed away in Feb so mom is coming with us on several short trips this summer. Her bivent pacer works FABULOUS so I think she is rarin to go. So glad you had a fun time! Deb

It's great to hear that you were gone for fun and relaxation for a change. When you disappear, we get worried automatically.

I'm so glad that you got to go and visit your daughter/boys in Fla...Wow, that age 14 year old Grandson should be playing basketball..at 6 ft. 4 in.Bet he will next Fall...Been there/done that in the hot sun for many years watching my age 14 year oldGrandson ...Had to be careful after my surgery/coumadin..those kids can really hit a ball.Fouled back into stands. Even with the high fence........Again, welcome back. We missed you..Bonnie

Glad to see you back and that you had a good time in orange and cattle country. I lived about 50 miles SE of Tampa near a cowtown and it's always HOT there. Well, except for the occasional freeze that took out the oranges and strawberries. Lovely country. So flat and so much sky. Welcome home.

Dixon (the tall fellow) is into baseball, football and basketball. He's a super athlete and everybody wants him on the team. Michael is a natural born athlete. It was fun watching him pitch. He's got all the right moves.

Re: foul balls on the baseball field--my daughter told me that last year one of the grandmothers who was sitting in a chair behind the fence got clobbered on the head not once, but twice. There were foul balls coming over the fence all the time. I never thought that was possible, but the fencing wasn't high enough.

NANCY!

So very happy for you that you were able to travel to FL to see your daughter and family there! Excellent!

From your description, it was well worth the trip ... and very fun!

I hope you are able to do more of those travels in the future.

I'm glad to hear you had a good time, Nancy.:)
I had forgotten about the hazards posed by baseball, Bon.
We usually sat behind home plate and had to keep a sharp eye out!
