Cardiac, that is. Went to the plastic surgeon 2 weeks ago and he was very pleased with progress. Said to expect about 3 months of pain from muscle flap. But did not want to see me for 6 weeks. Great news.
Tomorrow I go to my cardiac surgeon for first visit since coming home from hospital on 3/30. It has been just 2 days short of 8 weeks since my first surgery. I am feeling better than I ever expected.
I am planning to ask for driving privileges and to be able to go back to work at the school (teacher's aide) at least part time.

I do find it amazing though how I just cry like a baby everytime I make some progress. Dressed myself-cried. Went to church on Easter-cried. Showered alone-cried. Walked steps to kitchen-cried. Kleenex lovs me!!

Thanks again for all the prayers!

Peace of Christ,
Don

Facing your mortality and winning, especially winning with the grace of God, is an emotional experience. I am glad to hear that you are progressing well.

Tears are good. And cleansing and a great tension reliever. But tears of thankfulness are even more precious. Wishing you continued progress.

I'm so glad you are feeling well and things are improving daily.

As far at the crying - sometimes Joy comes in liquid form.:)

Don,
I am happy to hear you are starting to feel better. It is an emotional journey, isn't it? I'm praying for you!
