My question is, when are you going to do some TV broadcasts and could you be like Howard Stern and get us some nudies?

Carrie Underwood? Did you say you are going to play Carrie Underwood??

That was the plan last Friday, but since I didn't get an Email from you during the show, I thought I'd hold it back ... just in case ;). The things I do for Cardinals fans.................................................

*sighs*

RobHol said:
Carrie sang an oldie, "San Antonio Rose," on the Grammy show, and I thought it was absolutely great. I suppose that's not available on any CD or anything yet? Maybe she'll include it on her next album this fall.

*rushes to look at CD*

*sits back down*

Nope ... sorry. That one is NOT on the CD. He he ... but, that's OK ... I already have a hunch which one I'm going to play ;).

RobHol said:
Anyway, I confess, Cort. I forgot to tune in last Friday. I will try to Friday, April 20, whether you have any Carrie song or not...

Well, if you Email me during the show, I'll be sure to play one of her songs :).

And, no worries ... you aren't the only one who forgot. I'll forgive you ... this once, though ;). Course, I posted the playlist a few posts ago, if you didn't see that already, by chance....

Praline said:
I will try to listen in next show. I put an icon for the site on my desktop so I remember and can find the right site.

That's awesome, Praline! Heh ... I hadn't even thought of putting up an icon ... hmmmmmmmmmm

Oh, and Ross, bud ... find me a TV station where I can buy time ... and we'll see what happens ;). He he!

Hmmm...judging from your second post after this one, I'm guessing you realized the song you were thinking of was not played.

I'm _guessing_ you were thinking of Montgomery Gentry's "Our Town". Er, I think that's the one.... Am I correct?

The "Our Town" I played is by James Taylor ... and is NOT the same song. This one was used in the movie "Cars".....

;)

Tsk tsk tsk.

I hated to share your pain, Cort. ;) Sometimes it's best to read a blow by blow account rather than watch or listen to it!:p :) :)

OK ... so, which "Our Town" were you thinking of then, Miss-I'm-A-Cardinals-Fan-But-Don't-Watch-Or-Listen-To-The-Games?

Carrie, the Cards, the Cubs, and Cort

Carrie, the Cards, the Cubs, and Cort

Unfortunately, Cort, I'm going to be on the road this Friday to celebration of my grandson's first birthday. So probably won't be able to tune in. I've tuned in before, though, and I know you have a great show. Wish you well.

Hey, speaking of Carrie Underwood (which I like to do!), she is singing on American Idol's charity show tonight. All Carrie fans, take note. She sings like an angel. She may be one!

As for the Cards/Cubs banter, none of us should be gloating in April. There are five months to go 'til post-season! I am not optimistic the Cards are going to make it back this season, but I had to wait 24 years for last year's championship, so if my ticker holds out, I am prepared to wait some more! :D

And hey congrats on your 3,000th post! You are up on me, 3-1. (But remember when the wind is blowing out at Wrigley, scores can change suddenly! :D

Hey Bob!

I've learned to gloat in April, May, June, July, August, September, October or whenever they win a game!

Gotta enjoy life on a game to game basis, I think!

ps Be careful on the road.:)

*grins*

I saw it, Mary ... thank you ;).

BOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry you won't be able to tune in, but I am jealous that road trippin' is the cause of you not being able to listen ... he he. How's that for irony? ;)

I'm also sorry that I didn't know you were listening on previous shows. Had I known ... had ya sent me an Email ... I would've put Carrie on just for you. I'll still play a song from her CD this Friday ... so, just know, it will be for you in spirit, OK? ;) You'll have to check out the playlist (I'll probably post it Saturday or Sunday or Monday nights) to see which Carrie Underwood song I play on the show ;).

And, thank you for the well wishes and congrats!

Oh, and for the record, I agree with Mary ... gotta gloat while we can ;). He he!

Thanks, Cort! Can't go wrong with Carrie!

Cubs/Cards series in Saint Louie this weekend. Unless one team sweeps, you and Mary both will have gloating opportunities. :D As for me, I wait for the Long Season to wind down to October. Then, I can gloat with the best of them when the Cards are knocking off favored teams. :D (As they did with the Mets in the NLCS last October. The Mets' best hitter watching a called third strike from Adam Wainwright to end Game Seven -- PRICELESS! :D

Rob,

You are welcome :).

And, uh, talkin' about October ... ALREADY? FAR too early for that ... just gloat while you can now ;). I plan to ... he he!
