Thanks for the kind words and prayers

I got to Cleveland Monday afternoon. Had to get to the hotel before the show 24 started Monday evening. I am staying at the Intercontinental Suites which is on campus. Nice hotel. This Clinic is huge. I counted 16 blocks.

I had test done all day on Tuesday. I had blood work, x-ray, EKG, Urine Analysis, met with the NP for the cardiologist, CT Scan, met with the NP for the surgeon, got some education and last met with the anesthesiologist. Fun story about the CAT scan. On my way here, I picked up the February issue of National Geographic because the cover has a picture of a heart with the title of Healing the Heart. I was in the waiting room for one of my test and read the paragraph that the author said they were in the basement of the Cleveland Clinic and she said she walked into the room and the equipment looks like a big blue donut. Well about 1/2 hour later, I walked into the room where I am having my CT scan and there was the big blue donut (the CT Scan machine). I said out loud, that is the big blue donut. I explained I just read about it in National Geographic. Pretty cool, I thought.

Everyone seems nice and willing to take the time to talk to you and answer all of your questions. I can see where everyone says I will like this place.

Today I meet the surgeon at 11am. His name is Petterson and he is suppose to be one of the best. I will report back this afternoon about that.

I have to report at the Clinic at 5:15am tomorrow morning. At least I will already be drowsy that time of the morning, so they won't have to use that much anesthesia.

One last thing before I go. While I was watching the education video yesterday about what to expect for the surgery, I was thinking I saw most of that from the photos that Stretch posted the other week. Thanks for posting that Stretch.

Cathy and Traveler, I will be sending out prayers and best wishes to you on Friday. See you on the other side of surgery.

Mark
