Just a need for a vent I'm afraid...

There are times where I just think of warfarin and think 'arrrghh'!

Chloe's been quite poorly the past few days with tonsillitis (incidentally, she is a lot better today!) but I just knew it'd throw her INR due to her not eating and drinking properly and having to take antibiotics, and mummy instinct was right!

5.9 tonight - just excellent! While I appreciate this isn't massively high and is minor compaired to other worries, its high enough to cause me concern and 'arrgghh' at it.
She's going back to school tomorrow after having today off to recover from the tonsillitis but I can't let her go out to play or lunchtime now in case of bumps and will have to drop her dosage for a couple of days and retest.

So... arrghhh!

I don't blame you for your arrghh!
I would MUCH rather be going through EVERYTHING myself than watch my children (actually young adults now) go through this 'stuff'.
God's speed and blessings to you and your precious one.

Would you like me to ship my dog over for you to kick???;) :D

Vent all you like. I completely agree with Deana, I'd rather it be me than my child.

The good thing is that if the illness is short-lived, you won't need to be cautious for too long.

Hang in there Mom!

... and we're back down to 4.5 again. Never takes long to get her back in range so almost there now. 4.5 is nothing anyway - I prefer her being on the high side of her 3-4 range.

She's sooo much better in herself now too. The absolutely vile tasting penicillin she's taking is doing its job well.

Thankyou all for the calming messages - they do mean a lot!

Oh, Emma............

Oh, Emma............

I can relate. Katie's stomach bug just shot hers through the roof.............so bad we had to skip a dose, as much as I hate doing that. Anyway, we are breathing a bit easier as now it is back down to 3.8 per the lab draw today. I imagine we are still going to have some bumps as Katie is still eating almost nothing............................

Anyway, so glad to hear that Chloe is on the mend all the way around. Hugs from a very empathetic me. ;) J.
