Wll the past four days have been interesting to say the least. I underwent complete ascending aortic and root replacement and the replacement fo my bicuspid aortic valve. The surgery lasted six hours, the team said that my large size increased the cooling and warming time. Scared the crap out of my parents and my wife. Spent four days and three nights in Cedars-Sinai (I now know why they are Best in Southern Califonia). But I will update you later when I feel a little better, I feel great now justa little soreness.

You are correct - Cedars Sinai is a wonderful hospital and glad you were able to get all the benefits of the care.

Now that you are home, you will start feeling better but you will have a few ups and downs. Just know to expect them and you will do fine.

Take care and remember to rest.
 
Welcome home Todd. Walking, sleeping, eating and breathing are your only job for the next few weeks. Hope you continue a smooth recovery.

Welcome back! There were so many surgeries this week, and it's wonderful to see everyone starting to come back with good reports.

Yeah, surgery is all over, now take it easy for a while and rest, sleep, walk and don't forget to take your breathing treatments. Isn't the other side of the mountain great!
