Great news! Tell her the wild one said to breath, walk, nap. That is her only job for a while now.

Good news...

...it is good news when we know it's over the hump for someone. God speed you to a complete recovery...thanks Michael.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Hi, this is Mike again. I am going to print out all your replies, and take them to my mother in the hospital. If I get a chance, I will post again with an update on her condition.

Thanks for all the good wishes!

Great News!!! :) Please wish her all my best for a speedy, uneventful recovery and please keep us updated on her progress.

Best wishes
Jay

Michael,

Sorry I did not get to reply before now but things have been a bit hectic here. I was so pleased to hear that she is doing fine.
Tell her that I wish her a speedy and boring recovery. I will liven up her recovery with some reading material as soon as I can get to the post office.
Breathe, walk and nap, Nan.

Still Going Well

Still Going Well

Hi, Mike here again. She is off the ventilator and starting to become more alert. Everything is going great and no sign of any problems at the moment. Not much discussion as of yet, she is still very tired and groggy, but so far so good!

Mike, thanks so much for keeping us updated. I am so very happy that things are going good. I will keep Nan in my prayers and you as well. Heres to an uneventful recovery!!

Excellent news, Michael. It was extremely important to me that my sons be near when I had OHS too; it brought a special peace and comfort to my mind. Hope all continues to go really well for your mom!

Great News, Mike!

Great News, Mike!

So glad to her that Nan is doing so well! :)

She gave me your phone number but I think I left it in Richmond. :(

She and I spoke about Noni and I dropping by, and delivering The Shirt, either tomorrow or Sunday. Please give me a call on my cell at 804-643-6747 and let me know if you think she'll be up for seeing anyone for a few minutes over the weekend. I go in for surgery Monday morning here in NYC.

Please give her my best when you speak with her.

Peace-

Stretch - I would edit that phone number out if I were you. And best wishes to you too for your surgery also.

Out of the ICU!

Out of the ICU!

Hi, Mike here. She was moved out of the ICU today, which is obviously a great step forward. She is still very groggy and tired, but improving steadily. Went for a short walk, and hopefully tommorrow she will be up and about even more!

Stretch: My mom was excited about the shirt, so if you want to come by over the weekend and drop it off, I'm sure that would be fine. If you are in the city, the main hospital entrance at 68th and York has an information desk were you can get her room number.. hours are 11am to 8pm.

Hi Nan,

I hope you are feeling better as each hour passes. Making it to the other side of the mountain is HUGE. You made it!!!:) Walk the halls as much as you can. You will be home soon enough.

Nan, you were one of my first heart buddies. Many moons ago. I still recall the time you almost made it to SAT and sent a bottle of wine to Janie's room. We would have rather had you there to enjoy with us. That's for sure! There will be more reunions! Can't wait to meet you one day down the road!

Godspeed my friend!

Hugs
Gina M

It's all improvement from now on, day on day 100% better than the last.

Glad to hear she's out of ICU and walking around, thats the worst bit over with.

Here's to another boring uneventful recovery.....;)

Indeed it is :). Thanks for the updates, Mike. Great to know that Nan is doing well. Thoughts/prayers continuing, of course.

Hello everyone,

This is actually Nan posting!!!

I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for your positive wishes, prayers and support.

There really aren't sufficient words to tell you how important you have been throughout this process and in my life. Collectively and individually you gave me the courage to move forward towards resolution of these cardiac issues!

This forum offers the best support in the world, and allows us to share experiences, learn from the best (each other) (And AL!) and in addition, have some fun!

And while I still have some serious recovery time and work ahead of me, I am on the "Other Side of the Mountain".

I am very much hoping that my son will have time to post my fairly outrageous pictures with "THE SHIRT" soon. He just has all this stuff to do called making a living ......

And my sincere wishes that Stretch will feel up to wearing this symbol of our strength and congeniality soon. And thanks BOB!

Take care everyone

Nan
