I was wondering how Chris is doing--could you give us an update?

Well at this time, there is no real update to speak of. He's healing slowly and will have a fixtor put on the ankle after Christmas to crank his foot back up level. Doc figures he'll be able to acheieve that in months time, then it will be a shave of the graft and contouring, then on to rehab and relearning how to use his foot/leg. Long ways to go yet.

Mr. Riley's Trial starts December 26, tenatively. We'll know when the Sherriff shows with the subpoena's.

shoot, that's the day after Christmas. Ain't nobody gon be workin in the court system that day! Get ready for postponement!

He's moving around on a walker and crutches now. We are still trying every avenue we can think of to get him some financial help since we cannot afford to keep him on our budget. Still have no idea where that money is going to come from. Outside of this small problem, things are going fairly well. We could always use another bathroom too.

How is his fiance?

Savannah is doing well. Still recovering herself, but much better then Chris. She stops up once in while to visit, but not very often. The relationship seems to have taken a hit.

I figured it might, but maybe they will pick up again at a later date. Hard for young people to bear these things and still stay close.

I have been tied up with a major problem in my area, and between dealing with that and my kidney surgeries, I have been really out straight....I wanted you to know though that I have been wondering, and worrying and praying continually during these past couple of weeks for Chris, Savannah and Y'all and that you all will get your justice and peace, and I pray that Chris and Savannah will get through this and remain together. As always, yall are in my thoughts and prayers....Harrybaby

Because chris will obviously be laid up for more that 12 months - would he qualify for disability or SSI. That would also qualify him for Medicaid/care if I am not mistaken. Of course it will be a battle , but worth a try I would think.

We just now got his Doctors to state such. Were working on it, but by the time they pay, we may be dead already.
