I have just passed another check-up with my surgeon at 7 months post-op. The by-pass he put in to get the right side of my heart pumping again after the 3 cardiac arrests has been put to the test. My Right Coronary Artery which 3 months ago was 70% blocked is now totally occluded  ...I dread to think what might have been if Surgeon John hadnt done that by-pass back in April. So now I get to join millions watching my Cholesterol levels and taking a Statin to keep them under control...bugga! I miss ice-cream already :( .

Apart from that little hiccup all his handiwork looks great and everything is working just fine. I still cant cough properly which is a really weird feeling, probably due to that pneumothorax I had which hasnt quite cleared up yet but it is getting smaller.

My INR has been steady as a rock for so long now I cant even remember the last time I had to change the dose. A BIG thanks to you guys here for giving me the courage and knowledge to do my own dosing.

So there you go., 7 months after 2 OHS's I am doing just fine...its hard to believe I was so very sick back then.,most of the time I tend to forget I am a heart-patient.

Life is good :D .

welcome to the statin & label readers group. Pay attention to your muscles when on a statin and if you need to know more, we have discussions about it. I am always aware of cholesterol and try to keep it down. I take zetia (maybe y'all don't call it that down under) and it is doing a very good job with the cholesterol.

The rest of your post sounds great. Glad to know you are doing so well.

Lovely news that you are feeling so well, Ton.
You are lucky to have had such a good surgeon.
Best wishes and here's to many, many more A+ check-ups!:)
