I'm glad you did, GB!

I'm glad you did, GB!

As we have been gone a few days and I hadn't seen this. WAHOOO! Fabulous news, but Nancy please do check in and let us know how things are going! Hugs. J.

Joe came home on Saturday. He's doing well, very tired, but getting stronger each day. You wouldn't believe the services that are available for us here at home, it's like having a nursing home right here. We have a speech therapist (he speaks well, but has some swallowing issues), an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, home lab draws, visiting nursing care three to four times per week. I could have gotten home aides too, but they would be tripping over all the other people. Plus we need some "down time" just by ourselves.

All of this will be for a limited time from Medicare and our other insurance, but that's OK. He really doesn't need long term care. He's tough and is very motivated to getting back in shape.

I'm doing OK, tired, but I knew what I would have to be doing. I've done this before many times. This must be Ground Hog Day.

He was very fortunate that the stroke didn't leave him with much impairment at all, just a few little thing here and there.

Tomorrow is his first dialysis on an outpatient basis.

So far, so good. I was even able to mow the lawn for a short time today.

Praise God for Joe's homecoming! Nancy, I'm so thrilled for you and Joe and so happy that things are going well. You certainly live your signature!

Sounds like all is right in your world. Hope things continue onward and upward.

Get some rest.

Hi Nancy and Joe

Great news, Nancy. Try to take advantage of all that help while you have it and get some rest yourself. Best wishes to you both!

Great news that you've got Joe at home, Nancy.
And I guess I understand why you dislike the movie, Groundhog Day, even though it's one of my favorites!

Dear Nancy:

Once again, you and Joe have prevailed. You both have the strength of lions.

You are a role model for every caretaker, everywhere.
