I was tempted to vote for diamond valves, but feared that diamond thieves might try to carve me up just to make jewelry out of my heart!

Seeing as that, for what ever reason, everyone here wants a piece of you, I thought I'd give them the option. I didn't want to take your actual heart valves. I was trying to think of an area to harvest tissue and that was as G rated as I could get.

Goodyear huh?? Vulcanized rubber - surely stenosis wouldn't be a problem. Add steel belts and you could probably get a longevity warranty out of the deal.

I'm thinking elephant pericardium myself. Think of the durability. Lifespan similar to homosapiens. Xenograft so no rejection issues.... sad for the elephant though or maybe they'll just have to deal with no pericardium and some monster 1 inch cables for sternum wires....

Bonnie, I did think of you when I read that choice, but I was also looking for my own choice. There are some very usable parts on a Grolsch bottle, the resealable kind. Since I've been bionic, or "Mecha" (from a science fiction movie), for nearly five years now, the alien valve is very appealing.
