We are having strawberry shortcake as a birthday cake. Barb is an excellent cook, and when it gets done, she said I can include a copy of the recipie with the picture. And it is a great recipie!
I really liked some of the pictures I got last night. When I get to hi-speed (probably Monday morning) I will be posting a new poll. I hope you will all have a chance to check them out.

first off, happy b-day dennis... nice day to have a b-day!
just got home from taking our youngest daughter to school in st. louis.
celebrated my big (50!!!!!) day there yesterday.
my cake_ and i've been really good abstaining_ was a BANANA BEIGNET (spelling?).... it was INCREDIBLE. ate the whole thing!!!! loved every crumb!!
how do i feel at 50? no different, really.
i still think it's hard to believe...i am the luckiest girl. i have it all. a loving and devoted hubby, two of the most wonderful young ladies that i can actually call my best friends who are our children, i have so many loyal friends and loving family, and last, but not least, i have this family here.
it's good to be home and an empty nester once again... loved my summer with the girls, but love my time alone with joey.
