Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts. I'm 4 days post-op! And I'm feeling okay. Very tired...

There were a few complications, but nothing that Dr. Dearani couldn't handle. I'll try posting again when I'm feeling more with it.

So glad to hear you are on this side of things!!
REST up and fill us in when you can..
You know the drill
Rest, breath, walk, eat, breath, breath breath..

Amazing that you can even post at 4 days post-op. Best wishes for a complete recovery- slow, but sure!

So glad to hear from you!

So glad to hear from you!

I have been following your thread on the pre-surgery board and visiting your blog. It's wonderful to see a post from you. There was a little confusion as to whether Pamela and Julia are one and the same. You are, right? We are all interested in hearing about your post-op experience. You take care of yourself now- ya hear!

So good to hear you are on the road to recovery. Great that you are already able to post.

Wishing you an uneventful, smooth recovery.
When you are able, please come share with us how you are doing.

Pamela:

Wow!!! You're doing marvelous to be able to post 4 days post-op.... I had difficulty thinking clearly to e-mail friends 10 days post-op!
Take care of yourself -- rest, sleep, eat well & exercise as your doctor says. Also, play with that torture device, a.k.a. the spirometer.

Thanks for posting - so good to hear your voice! Glad to hear that your medical team was able to handle the challenges. Extreme fatigue is par for the course for where you are post-op, but it's one thing to know that ahead of time intellectually and another thing to really experience it - I don't think anything can really prepare us for what it will actually feel like. I'm 18 days post op now, and every day I feel a little stronger, but I still can't even believe how exhausted I am by the end of the day.

Sending my continued prayers and positive thoughts for you to steadily regain your strength and heal.

Love,
Liz

Best wishes to you in your recovery!!!:) Glad to hear everything is going smoothly. Hope today is a good day for you!

Of COURSE you're tired!! :D But you're back with us....that's GREAT!!

We'll want to hear all the details when you are up to it. For now, keep the good attitude I'm hearing and hang in there through your early days of recovery.

Congratulations and welcome back!

Marguerite

Pam,
I'm glad you're back home and recuperating.
Keep up the good work!:)

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!

Hi there,

I have also been following the thread on Pre-Surgery and looking at the blog for updates. It is fabulous that you are able to post 4 days post op! I hope to following in your footsteps. For now, do like the other say, and rest, eat, breathe, etc.

Take care of yourself and know that you become stronger each day.

Hugs:p
