And I was sooooo ready. Maybe monday. Dr. Laks has a transplant. Oh well, what's a few more days? will try again.

So sorry to hear. I can't possibly imagine having to go through a delay like that at the last minute, especially over a weekend. BTW, UCLA does more heart transplants than any other medical facility in the world. In fact, when I was in the Cardiothoracic ICU, 8 out of the 12 beds were occupied by transplant recipients.

Best wishes on Monday!

Temp, bummer. But now you have a couple of great days that are like found money. Relax, drink, eat, enjoy your "stolen" time. Prayers delayed!

Temp honestly I feel better about it. I don't like to see anyone have a Friday surgery and then be left at the most critical time over the weekend. I know it stinks to be so ready and then disappointed, but I honestly feel it in my bones that it is better.

I certainly understand how it might feel! Feel your pain, man. In my situation, I know I'm more than ready, and I've still got 2 weeks to wait! I can't imagine it being postponed at that point, but I supposs, as many here have said, that all things like this seem to happen for a reason....but here's hoping for an uneventful surgery for you, whenever it occurs.

So sorry, but I think Ross is right- hopefully you will get your surgery on Monday and everyone will be refreshed and ready to give you all the care and attention you will need. Meanwhile, do something nice for yourself over the weekend!

Sorry to hear that Temp. You're still ahead of the original 6/29 date though!!!! My surgery was postponed because of a transplant also. Figured I'd better be happy I was the valver as opposed to the transplant person. Try to have a good weekend. Things happen for a reason.
