Do you know how big your valve is? After some research, I believe mine is 29mm. That seems rather large for a mitral valve. I'm not a big person - 120bls.....but big enough I guess.
One more question: what is a TEE? And I don't mean golfing. The only follow-up I've had is x-rays & blood work requested by my surgeon - done in June. Saw the heart specialist cardio guy 2 weeks ago - no tests, maybe an echo next month and I see MY GP about every three weeks.
I feel that I should be getting more tests done. Or perhaps more frequently. This well be my first echo, since pre-op, and I've had no stress test.
Maybe I shouldn't worry about it, but I thought I would ask.
